CERTIFIED ORGANIC

To assure you receive the purest form of certified organic beed, we operate our farm in compliance with strict OCIA organic standards.

That certification program involves a third party inspection to verify that Pine Terra Farm meets and exceeds their specific and strict standards. We have to keep detailed records of our methods, and materials used inthe growing, producing and handling of our beef products.

GRASS FED

In addition to being organically certified, the cattle are grass finished which is also better for the animal, the environment, and your nutrition. Our cattle eat freely on a natural diet of high quality forage. We do not grain finish our animals, because we believe grass finished animal products produce a more nutrious, wholesome diet for you.

Pine Terra beef is not only pure and nutrious, it is also tender and naturally flavoured-with superior quality and taste.

OUR FAMILY FARM

Since 1937, four Phillips family generations have lived and worked on the farm. Pine Terra has continued the family tradition of sustaining the farm free of chemicals. At Pine Terra we raise pure and nutrious products for you and your family.

We believe in maintaining the land in its natural ecological state as a whole, applying no toxins of any kind. Through the years, our conviction for managing the farm in an environmentally friendly way, the way God intended, has proven to be more beneficial that we even imagined!

OUR CATTLE

Thirty years ago, Pine Terra purchased our base herd of purebred Angus cattle. All our certified organic cattle are descendance from that original herd. They are treated in a humane, low strees manner, and roam freely in large naturally sheltered pastures.

Pine Terra beef tastes like old-fashioned beef your grandparents ate! Our beef is processed at its peak, and is dry aged 18-21 days for full natural flavour.

We believe it is the cycle of - sunshine, healthy soil, nutritious grass, and pure water - that produces the best, certified organic beef!

OUR LAND

Our non-transitional farm became certified organic in 1997. Pine Terra is lacated in central Alberta where the natural terrain of rolling hille and ravines encompasses a one-and-a-half mile spring-fed creek. The native trees and forage is the habitat of a large variety of wildlife to sustain biological diversity. At Pine Terra we encourage wildlife and beneficial insects because they play an important role in managing a sustainale, healthy system.

Certified organic, holistic anagement, and intensive grazing methods are used to address animal health and nutrition, as well as to protect and improve the land.

As earth stewards, Pine Terra utilizes the organic philosophy and system of production-to mirror the natural ways of living organisms with emphasis on interdependence of all life.

Through our heartfelt beliefs, Pine Terra has been able to provide the best of both worlds for you and your family. We have one of the few certified organic farms never farmed with chemicals. Plus, we offer all the advantages of grass fed beef.
